- Does this cost anything?
- No. Scanning a receipt, claiming items, and settling up are all free.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can start and finish a bill without signing in. An account only saves your bill history so it follows you across devices.
- What if someone at the table doesn't have the app?
- They don't need it. Anyone with the shared link can claim their items in a browser — on any phone.
- How does the Venmo payback work?
- Once the table confirms the split, everyone gets a Venmo link pre-filled with what they owe the person who paid. Tapping it opens Venmo; the payment itself happens there.
- How are tax and tip divided?
- Proportionally. Each person's share is based on the value of what they claimed, so a salad doesn't carry the same tax as a steak.
- Is my receipt photo kept private?
- The photo is used to read the items on your bill and is not shared with anyone outside the people you send the link to.
